Problem is Jonathan you'd hit people with the TRUTH! I'm not sure people like the TRUTH. A diet of lies would make the TRUTH mostly unpalatable. Perhaps it would take several years of people slowly being weaned from fantasy onto a staple diet of reality.

Or perhaps my faith in human nature needs some restoration work..

Good point Chrissy.

The problem is, "The Daily Truth", as it were could end up being a very slim volume some days.
How would one dig for a story on a low news day, working on a deadline?
Using that theory, is probably another reason the press got into such a state.
i.e;
Editor; "It`s 4 pm, invent something quick, 400 words now!".

Actually, JK, you haven't really said what you would do if you owned a newspaper, only what you wouldn't do.
