TOPIC: Can anyone explain high heels?

Can anyone explain high heels? 2 Years, 3 Months ago
Usually worn by women - I do wear a pair in Vile Pervert; The Musical and can see no point to them whatsoever. Agony to walk in; impossible to run in; ridiculous looking; unflattering. WHY?

I haven't worked with or been out with a woman. who hs worn them for work, clubbing, shopping or driving. The women I known/know only wore heels for dates. I went to a cousin's wedding a few years who ago she wore the heels for her wedding which are over in minutes ! When the wedding was over, she turned up to the reception in flat shoes. I don't think I have ever seen her in heels prior the wedding and after.

My partner refuses to high heels at all costs and she only wears kitten heels for special occasions like dinner dates, theatre or for a drink.

They improve a woman's posture, make them look taller, and accentuate their legs, what's not to like.

Its obviously my week for offending people.

The point of them is that they thrust the pelvis forward into a sexual position, which is attractive to the coarser sort of man who likes to think she will be easier to catch, club and rape.

Dear God you have done for men's rights what I achieved for UK-Chinese relations earlier this week on here!

Remind me never to let my daughter go on a night-out in Liverpool...

I've always found women wearing trainers for non-sport activities distinctly erotic...

Funnily enough, all the young girls seem to be going out wearing trainers, which I approve of. I would sooner they wore coats too, but you cant have everything.

What Robbie didn't mention they can ruin women's feet, cause back problems and neck pains.

You would of loved New York in the 80's Wyot, when there urban tennis courts and parks watching young women playing tennis in skirts and nice trainers (80's footware was great) was a nice treat before work.

Now those women must be in their 60s now.

I love Scousers Wyot, the best joking around and banter I have had at work was with Scousers. Again they knew when to stop and when to start because they knew when to be professional also.

The banter never went far unlike with Southern folk even Londoners are dull as dishwater.

Trainers should only be worn with jeans or sports wear, not with a skirt or suit trousers. This is a terrible habit brought in from the us, where they have no sense of style imho.

Indeed they are another modern fashion accompaniment but they must be a nightmare to walk in if not dangerous.

My ex-wife tottered around in them for years and negotiated footpaths easily even after many drinks.

I tried to wear my Aunt's when she dressed me in drag at age 14 but I hated them.

These days I wear a pair of beautiful $1000 Prada trainers sometimes with suits and people are most impressed.

For more formal occasions I wear a gorgeous pair of black $1200 Gucci pumps with those famous very recognizable horseshoe thingies on them which draw admiring glances.

My very old fashioned father taught me to always have the best, always polished shoes as people always notice.

## I never bother to tell anyone both pairs of shoes were bought at the local thrift shop for under $40 each ..the benefits of living in a suburb where Fashion Slaves think they have to have the very latest & quickly discard last season's outfits.

It depends on the skirt.

You watch way too much MSM and trash TV. I have seen many sharp dressers in USA more than the UK, also remember the climate is way differnt in the UK. Some people can only afford cheap causal clothing over there . The benefits system is nothing like the UK.

Their charity shops are proper charity shops, unlike here where the clothes are near the same prices at new clothing stores.

If I only had time machine Wyot. Maybe you could find Jim-Boy's big sandwich that was taken from him in Union City. He bought it to eat when he was going to watch Amen. He put the sandwich down quickly to tie up his laces.

When he crouched down, some tramp lady stole it from him. He hasn't forgiving her after 33 years he stil dwells on it.

Don't you want good posture too, Robbie? Why don't you get a pair of stilettos for your health?

As for wanting women to be taller, perhaps you would be better with a man?

Joking aside, the reason why some women can trot around in heels with no problem is that the tendon at the heel shortens, so a raised foot becomes the default position and flats become uncomfortable.

All well and good, if it didn't cause quite a lot of long term damage and misery.
There is an enormous difference in the mobility of older women between ex heel wearers and flat shoe fans.

I never skimp on coats, shoes, jumpers, bedding and soap, but the rest I don't mind about.

I don't see many in high heels these days unlike 10-years ago. Even in nice bars or resturants women seem to be in kitten heels, boots or flats.
