Sue Gray and Boris Johnson 1 Year, 11 Months ago
Partygate. So this is the end.
Oh no it's not. Because everyone who hates this government will delight in dragging it out as long as possible.
No; not quite everyone. I hate this Government. But I hate even more the stupidity of punters, egged on by media ("it's a great story") failing to see the reality (who cares?) of this trivial hype story and avoiding the truly serious problems.
Black Lives Matter? Yes indeed they do and so does everyone else's life but do not ignore the REAL problem. Police behaviour.
Partygate. Who cares if ministers broke the stupid rules (which saved not one single life)?
The economy is collapsing. Energy prices going through the roof.
False Accusers are still being enabled by bent cops and crooked lawyers to make fortunes whilst sending innocent men and women to prison.
And nobody cares.
Why not?
Because all that matters to media is a great story - like did our Prime Minister sip at a glass of whisky when he shouldn't have.
Now THAT'S important.
Not.

Boris fucked up with lockdowns and has threw his second term down the drain. Keir is clueless and has about the same amount of personality as a puddle of vomit in a pub.

Monkeypox is a distraction and a good scare story to sell papers and tune to Sly News or BBC for ratings.

The Texas school shooting will be brushed under the rug. It seems the schools have a bullying issue, more than a gun issue. Also guns don't have arms and legs nor do they fire themselves. Care in the communuity has failed and doctors would rather give out drugs than find the root cause of depression.

False accusers don't matter. It affects hardly anybody and is not worth worrying about.
Unless, of course, it happens to you, or those you love.

And likewise, it is not important if a few people die alone in agony, way before their time, largely due to the government's incompetence, unless it happens to YOUR people.

To take just one of the many issues your post covered. Guns in the USA. Having spent some time in Wyoming and Idaho, there's no doubt that people there wouldn't live without guns because of the deterrent factor. Unarmed farmers would be a godsend to passing attackers, robbers etc. Everyone must know that everyone is defence capable, by lethal methods.

Gun free zones is one of the ridiculous ideas ever.

My friends in USA used to take guns school in the 60s and 70s. They used to hunt during lunch breaks and after school. Any one who was mucking about or aiming a gun at anyone was dealt with by other kids.
