I'm a great lover of Italy and for several years have watched the young players training literally next to my hotel in Rome - Berrettini and Sinner. My brother has been an Alcaraz fan (since he lives in San Francisco we call him Alcatraz). Their match has been one of the best of the tournament so far; still glued to it as it goes into Set Four.

This match is fabulous - the two youngest players in the tournament playing great tennis.

The Ons Jabeur and Elise Mertens game is gripping. 10-8 in the first set tie break. The Tunisian is a great talent and ambassador for the game. I went to Wimbledon centre court on Friday but only spent about 45 minutes watching centre court matches. Jabeur, Djokovic, and Norrie played 3 predictable one-sided games. Djokovic is a great player, but he is boring to watch, like watching a robot. I think mens matches should be reduced to best of 3, as usually it is just delaying the inevitable. I watched about 20 mins before departing for court 3 and an exciting match between Garcia and Yang on court 3. A real competitive match. The men's game is in a pretty boring state at the moment with 4 players sharing the Wimbledon singles titles since 2002, and this year looking like a slam dunk for Djokovic again. The up-and-coming players are not exactly household games with the young greek having an unpronounceable name, give me Ostapenko any day.
