Why do bakeries think that the more random bits they can shove into a pastry the better it will be?

I don't want balsamic vinegar, sultanas, almonds, figs or custard on my strawberry tart, and I don't believe anyone else would either!

Or do you?

I bought a custard tart for lunch, I didn't find anything exciting.

What the bakery do you go to that gives out prizes ?

I stopped buying cereral when they stopped giving out free gifts.
