I shall be watching this although I don't like women's football (or tennis). Both sports (and some others) need POWER and STRENGTH as vital ingredients and men are built with muscles in certain places which women do not have just as women are built with wombs and men are not (which may explain why men are so useless as bearing children). Sorry, trans folk, but I'm a JK Rowling supporter.
However, finals always interest me. So technique and skill can be good to watch (example - that clever little back kick goal by a woman in the semis). And I'm English, despite often regretting it. So I shall be watching and cheering on the Lionesses.
This afternoon will be my first watch of a women's football match, so I am going to reserve judgment.
Women have strength relative to one another, and plenty of skill. If it is entertaining, I will start watching it. And I imagine the ladies won't be seen spitting all over the place...
I enjoy women's tennis sometimes more than men's because the men's game at times is so reliant on power alone they are boring...

Well said.
I hate sport so it don't bother me the slightest who wins or loses. I just don't want to be preached about it.
I'm just waiting for a biological male who identifies as a woman to join the women's squad. The governing bodies will be scared to offend the rainbow community, NCAA let chicks with dicks compete with women.
The skill level in the women's game is extraordinary and the main reason why it's the fastest growing sport in the world. With professional leagues starting in numerous countries.
Extra time if needed today, with a result guaranteed. But no penalties. England, well into the second half, can be proud of their performance against the eight time winners.
I've really not been enjoying this; in fact I found myself switching over to ITV for Thunderball for much of the game. Annoying female commentators get drowned out by crowd noise during half time. I'm sorry I just cannot warm to women's football.

I take your word for it. I haven't seen any St George flags hanging outside cars, houses or pubs. Nor has the women's football been mentioned in the boozers I go to.
Really enjoyed it; women's football will go from strength to strength off the back of this. I know they don't have the speed or strength of men but you enjoy it (or not!) for the competition it is between women (no trans ever please...). I thought we showed great skill, determination & character. Great stuff. And a lot less horrible tatoos (but still a few) to put up with compared to the men's...

Never mind, Mr King. There will be mostly massive hairy blokes taller and stronger women in the team by next year.
