It's all barmy.

TV is entertainment. It's all about tricks and edits and ways of making boring stuff fun to watch.
The problem is - everyone thinks the fantasy is reality. So they think the media tells the truth.

It doesn't. It never has. It never will. It's called Entertainment.

And since the police, judges, juries, lawyers all believe it (whilst pretending not to) the line between reality and fantasy has become totally blurred.

And the poor old reader, ranging from the brain dead to the intelligent sceptic, is as confused as anyone.

Did X die yesterday? Is Y a dangerous dictator? Is Z (or K) a Vile Pervert?

Whatever is the best story rules; not the truth.

It's the end of the world as we know it. Long live REM - and George Orwell.
