Freeview is a little unreliable here, today , upstairs there are no radio channells, tomorrow may be different, you never know.

I have TV with integrated Freeview, plus a motorised satelite dish for the freesat channels. I have never been tempted by Sky.

Totally agree: cable TV now seems designed to replicate the normal services you pay for and squeeze you constantly for re-cycled product.

I think the problem here is the big investors like Murdoch etc put too much money into this in the first place and now are trying to re-coup their investment anyway they can as the delivery of entertainment is spinning out of their control.

I read a few years ago how Murdoch jnr told his staff on newspapers not to use the internet to get information as it was a passing 'fad'-and dad Rupert wasn't interested either until just recently when he realised the potential.

Hence-we customers get slogged as usual via Sky etc.
