There's mention of a 15 year-old victim and I was wondering what a 15 year-old was doing working at Harrods, but she was apparently shopping with her mother, according to this 2008 report.
Police question Fayed after sexual assault claim by girl, 15
It seems that the Met police were responsible for making it public that they'd questioned Al Fayed under caution, which they appeared to do as it was happening via Mark Williams-Thomas on Twitter when they questioned Rolf Harris under caution four years later.

In the item today published by BBC News there was a sentence quite close to the start of the article which I found rather disturbing;
"Harrods current owners said they were 'utterly appalled' by the allegations and that his victims had been failed - for which the store sincerely apologised."
When this story was first published today they omitted the word "allegations" before adding it shortly after. But despite this the sentence still refers to his victims having been failed. They are alleged victims, but the BBC item and the current owners appear to have instantly convicted the man and given the apology.
It may well be all true, it might all be untrue. I have no idea. But we are supposed to have due process in this country and a presumption of innocence until proven otherwise in a court of law. It's risky being dead nowadays, you can trash a late person with ease and no comeback.

MWT rowing himself into the action as Fayed may replace the terrifying Savile entity as Britain's worst sex offender.

"I now believe that had my investigation and the police probe taken place in 2012, shortly after I helped unmask Jimmy Savile as a paedophile, the CPS would have gone ahead with the prosecution. But by 2016, the tide had turned following a number of embarrassing acquittals in high-profile cases."
Wonder which cases he's referring to and why acquittals should be embarrassing, unless he thinks the people concerned should have been convicted.
