Some gems from Trump's Madison Square rally..

"America is for Americans only" (scarily echoing Hitler's "Germany is for Germans and Germans only."

A "comedian" has called Puerto Rico a "floating garbage dump" (it's actually a beautiful island)

Another speaker has said non-Trump voters should be "slaughtered"

and Trump has just said "Americans who don’t support him are “enemies” and must be dealt with: “They are indeed the enemy from within”

You should know what a KKK rally would like, that they were Dems and Biden was friends with a Grand Wizzard.

Hate everyone that isn't like us---is the message. That's why I have always despised Trump. It's all about him.

Our ABC & CH 9 TV networks are calling the Madison Square rally a "star studded cast" with broken down and bankrupted Rudolph Guliani, ridiculous Hulk Hogan who struggled to rip his t-shirt off, a racist comedian and "psychologist" Dr Phil along with Melania who gave a speech which many sad they couldn't understand her accent.

# About 3 years ago I went to Sydney's Star Casino for a promotion for some upcoming wrestling matches at which Hulk Hogan was the star guest.

He wrestled with another bloke with lots of heaving and rolling about the floor and alarmingly blood came pouring off their faces.
It looked terrible.

When the match was over we had to leave via the stage and I noticed a small red thing on the stage and picked it up. It was a fake blood capsule.

Maybe Hulk gave Donald a blood capsule at the assassination attempt.

It was an equal opportunity racist get together with Black Americans, Arabs, Muslims and Jews being denigrated.

Along with of course Democratic voters (tens of millions) who The Don called the "enemy within" who should be rounded up by the military.

Of course all this may be just bluster and he has no intention of rounding up his enemies (ie those who didn't vote for him.)

Watching MAGA folk being interviewed is quite illuminating. It's like the 4 years Trump was president didn't exist and the fact he did very little except give tax cuts to the rich is simply ignored.

Higher UN-employment than Obama and Biden (although there was the Covid drama of course) denying hurricane damaged Puerto Rico funds for 2 years and never distributing promised infrastructure funds (which he now says he will except for Califormia) yet he's saying it all over gain as though his first term didn't happen.

I swear he could say he has a fabulous new healthcare system to be released in 2 weeks and get away with it.

Should really look on the bright side as one lot who won't miss out are the whales. Trump says the windmills are messing with the whale's minds and he would like to be a Whale Psychiatrist.

I bet you have never seen a bar brawl or a boxing match with the ear cut open. ears are very bloody and messy we opened up.

I want to know why all these famous celebs who knew Diddy are out supporting Harris, this does include Springsteen?

Wrestling was real to some extent in places like Memphis, Texas and Florida.

I never forget I was at the first Wrestlemania and Liberace and Muhammad Ali were guests, Liberace as the bell keeper whatever it's called and Ali as ref. Liberace was just as camp as Wrestlemania itself. I still have no idea what was the point of the last match; it was a shambles and true ending and Ali got involved from memory. When Ali walked down the ring, I can still hear the cheers from the fan mentally, it was ear splitting.

How comes it took you the last few years to see how they get blood in wrestling Hedda? Do you believe in the Tooth Fairy?

What's with Elon Musk and his new MAGA hat at the Fascist Madison Square rally with the font favoured by the Nazis and Hitler?

Is he trying to tell us something?

# Happy to say wrestling has never interested me in the slightest and I wouldn't have a clue what they get up to but I did enjoy the very good breakfast put on for the media.

Funny anecdote about Hulk Hogan, hedda. I also notice that he had trouble ripping his shirt off. Maybe he should have nicked it with a scissors first.

It's surprising the "comedian" wasn't vetted first. Unless the Trump team were aware of what he was like (how could they not have been?) and just thought they could condemn any racist statements, and appeal to both those who found them funny and those who didn't.

I can only assume that most of his supporters are dismissing the extreme rhetoric as bluster and are hoping he'll improve their lives in practical ways. If they actually agree with the extreme statements, that would be pretty scary.

It is not actually a matter of opinion and beyond media spin.

It is an objective recorded fact that Harris is terrifyingly underwhelming and Trump a racist, misoginyst, idiotic, nasty, ego-centric senescent loonie.

This is America's choice. Good luck to them and us because grown up democracy in the US is a thing of the past.

With all due respect to my fellow posters putting "columns" up about this election, I can't understand why anyone is interested in this tedious shit-show.

There wasn't a word said at that rally that wouldn't have been vetted by Trump officials..not a single syllable.

The speeches were loaded onto the autocue by Trump people and indeed..the tragic "comedian" was going to use the c**t word about Harris but Trump officials nipped it in the bud.

Actually I did note that the alleged comedian didn't really get a thigh slapping response from the audience and laughter was quite mooted.

I hope that Madison Square Garden rally of Trump's does not turn into the equivalent of the notorious Sheffield rally that Kinnock held in 1992 here at home.

I haven't seen the rally proper but from clips I've seen and photo's it looked a bit too celebratory to me.

what on earth does a Clinton rally have to do with a Trump rally?

Along with his Nazi font inspired hat Elon Musk was quite odd at that rally..the excited leap and the clenched jaw grinding at times.

Mothers little helper?

I think Harris has an uphill battle because she's female and has a nasal and not particularly powerful voice, conveying an impression of weakness, before one even considers what she has to say. She's also being knocked into the undergrowth by the constant focus on Trump. (I've actually been wondering if the headline-grabbing "comedian" was a deliberate attempt by the Trump team to deflect focus from her in the last week.) I can appreciate you finding it all very tedious, but I am interested in who's going to be elected, as it will have repercussions outside the US.

That rally has just cost Trump the Presidency. He is going to lose. Why celebrate before you have won anything? Just like Kinnock, idiots.

They knocked every demographic they needed, women and ethnics in that very state. Some people say Trump is the liabilty, no it's those around him that are.

Oh I am very interested and concerned about who will be elected for those very reasons Jo. I just can't bothered with all the infantile, patronising process in the meantime.

I mean, has an actual policy - let alone a political vision - been discussed in a serious manner?

I'm not so sure Simon: these are very different times to 1992.

I would have thought Trump had put himself by his own words beyond anyone voting for him years ago, excepting perhaps those who lick windows for a hobby.

But he keeps coming back!

Well, well, well.

I did say that these A list celebs were friends with Diddy. The Black community can see that Harris a DEI hire. Tupac was 10 when she said she smoked weed to his music. I remember the first album I got stoned to, it was Tipplers Tales by Fairport Convention.

Harris photoshopping a fastfood worker is proof the Dems are the liars. Trump worked at McDonalds, there is evidence.

I better not get too close to the truth.
