Actually quite intrigued as to how he will deal with Israe-Gaza---Hamas must now release the hostages. And how he deals with Ukraine/Putin...China...Iran...North and South Korea. Biden has been hopeless with all of them...and has inflamed war.
I wonder if Trump and Macron will have another bromance, like the last time Trump was president. He does come on stage to YMCA at the end of the day. I thought the same thing about Zelensky too. You would have thought he could make the effoct to put on a suit for an historic occasion.
Starmer didn't go to the event, because he is not the head of state. We already have a representative their in the form of the Prince of Wales, who took a very back seat compared to Trump I was surprised that Trump was front and centre. He's not even in the job yet. Biden is still the president, believe it or not. He's even Catholic, but still didn't go.
Anyone who thinks that Trump will be good for Britain or America is deluded. He will put Tariffs on UK goods like he did last time, and guess what that will put up prices for Americans

Trump claims to be 6'3 and William is 6'3 yet he seemed to be about 2 inches taller than Trump. Most odd. Wonder if it's anything to do with those precious shoes he insisted on grabbing whilst someone took pot shots at him.

Indeed!

I assume that Zelensky dresses the way he does to show solidarity with Ukrainians and remind everyone that life isn't "business as usual" for him or his country.

Every other leader was quite short.
It is probably about right, allowing for natural shrinkage.
I am highly prejudice when it comes to Trump as I once worked for him and he still owes me $3000 (and my then agent $40K).
Never met him but we worked on his Miss Universe contest and I pulled of a major PR coup that got him front page news around the world which even he sent back word via his 3 reps was superb.
My poor agent friend got stiffed by Don for hotel rooms for the 3 Miss Universe staff but he was told he could always sue in a NY court. Yeh sure.
At night when we and the Trump employees relaxed and had a few drinks their real feelings came out..absolutely hated hm with a vengeance and thought working for him could lead to better jobs but the opposite would happen. Doors slammed in their face.
My NYC friends always laughed and said I should have asked them first before taking the work.

I didn't say being rude and inarticulate is more important than what, as president, Trump will do or the decisions he makes. That is a very obvious point.
I also did not say that he was loathsome, and this matters, because he is either rude or inarticulate. It is possible to be inarticulate and a decent human being.
Indeed, most people are.
Leaving these matters aside and addressing the point I think you are attempting to make: why do you (and others) think that what Trump says and has done (i.e his moral character) is unlinked to what he will do?
This seems to me a startling and unfounded leap of faith.
Not being a fan of Trump (or Starmer) I like the fact that both are daring to defy conventional wisdom. Politics and democracy no longer works - both have used that fact to get elected. And both are determined to do it THEIR way. It may be wrong and in many ways I disagree with both but I approve of the fact that they seem prepared to try something different.
