TOPIC: LA fires

LA fires 4 Days, 5 Hours ago
I feel more sorry for Joe Public, small businesses and pets.

Celebrities have more than one home, while most people have a little shoebox and a car, and they get that from working in mundane jobs and no doubt hate.

I have never tried to follow celebrities or worshipped them.

Most celebrities I have met due to working in hospitality have been arrogant dickheads.

So the Fire Dept were more interested in DEI hires instead of getting the best of the best.

The tragic loss of human lives would be top of most people's list.

Foremost in my mind Hedda. I'm so woke. Thankfully.

Nonsense. Imagine trying to set fire to the South of England with a blow torch? Such devastation takes a natural way of things.

And climate change deniers will no doubt cling with dear might to the blow torch theory. Wonder what they think causes floods? Water pistols?

I hear on Kevin O'Sullivan's Talk TV show on Friday night that all the top three positions in the LA Fire Department are held by women with the same name, Kristina, and that they are all lesbians! Plus the Mayor of LA is a woman who has apparently cut the fire fighting budget.

Not that I think being a woman means they are any less competent at managing things than men, or that them sharing the same name means a thing, or that their sexuality has any bearing on their aptitude for the job, they may all be fantastic at what they do. But he made the point that in LA, wokery is out of control like it is across California and that the fact that those three women were in those positions could not be accidental and was highly likely down to positive discrimination in favour of diversity box ticking rather than the best people for the job and if they are not the best it could have obviously affected the response to the fires in some ways. Certainly a MAyor who has cut fire budgets has some serious questions to now answer, as any would, male or female in the circumstances.

President-elect Trump should put in a high profile visit in the run up to his inauguration in 9 days time if he has any sense. I bet Biden and Harris won't bother.

Have Harry and Meghan been burnt down yet too? They love their victim status. Perhaps they will try and milk the situation in a few days with a fake Royal "tour" of their locality to see and sympathise with the damage in order to give themselves some brownie points.

If you have spent lots of time in LA you would see, just as in Australia, much of it is prime fire risky territory.

Housing including celebrity areas are built in such places and risk management is a joke along with risky access to water.

These are problems that both local and federal governments continue to fail to address and that includes Donald Trump who as president for 4 years woefully ignored such problems apart from ridiculously taelling people to rake leaves.

That's apart from the fact the entire state is at risk of earthquakes.

Ignored by the dementing
Trump is the fact the 2 countries he loves to attack, Canada and Mexico have sent 100s of firefighters to aid LA firefighters.

What a nasty and unbelievable petty bitch he really is.

There have been several fires in the South West of England where I live, caused by kids setting fires to cause carnage. Look at the fires in 2020 or so, they happened during a lockdown.

Let us not forget Marsden. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-47381119

Fires don't start by themselves, there needs to be a source. Litter don't drop themselves you know.

So far, the Santa Ana winds are being viewed as the primary reason for the fires.

Yes; not sure about "fires don't start by themselves" Green Man. Taking your conspiracy theories several steps too far.

Most wood and forest fires start from cars backfiring on dry land, cigarettes, campfires or lightning strikes. For a car to backfire fire it needs a human to turn on the ignition, cigarettes don't light themselves along with campfires. I do a lot hiking on the woods and I see litter even the deepest depths of the woods.

Someone neeeds to tell the BBC and Sky that devastating worldwide wild fires, major floods and destructive hurricanes didn't all just start in about 1990. They now jump on every single event of these kind from a climate change perspective. It takes a strong personality to resist the brainwashing agenda they promote without any alternate viewpoints entertained.

These events now cause much less loss of life than they did a century or more ago.

Climate change exists. It's always existed and veered into hot and cold phases. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why I was being schooled quite strongly in the 1970's and 1980's into an impending ice age and cooling world agenda.

Just look at the BBC's own Radio Times cover in November 1974 for instance. "The Ice Age Cometh" it says.

Perhaps - just not in LA, at the moment, where wind is the major factor.
