Post hurty words online, and the police will be all over it in a heartbeat. A tradesman has thousands of pounds of tools stolen; no visit from the police, but you will get the crime reference number handed to you like a raffle ticket and then get told to go to the local car boot and see if your tools are there.
Bournemouth police are a flipping joke. I know people who were done in at the Trouville Hotel. The police only did some half-arsed investigation, and the couple were told it was an NFA after 48 hours. They didn't speak to an officer in person nor did an officer come out when after the robbery took place. Are the coppers in the BCP area on slight bends looking for drivers doing 34 in a 30 zone?
I have not been near the police station in Bournemouth for a while, but it was covered with graffiti the last time I looked. When I got burglarised it took the police 3 days to turn up and took a quick statement, had a nose around and left. Then, I was told it was another NFA over the phone.
I can still remember as a little boy in the 1970's when my mother had a pair of knickers stolen off the rotary washing line. Just one simple pair of knickers, from an enclosed back garden. Nothing else was taken. She reported it to the police and very soon after a policeman in full uniform came around to the house, investigated and took a statement about it, and took it seriously. I actually remember him coming and standing there all imposing in black.

My Grandmothers bloomers were stolen from the washing line. The came round and they did a sting operation. They caught the guy who did who was a bit of a transvest, he went to the local church. No one would have guessed it was him. It's always the quiet ones.
Police called but never arrive but a police number is just for the insurance companies.
These tradesman need to know if you want a police call out - say you are LGBTQ and were insulted on the socials or you are targeted because you wear a rainbow.
