This individual was always going to kill people. I or anyone on this platform could watch an Andrew Tate video and we wont kill anyone later on. To say that Clifford was somehow further motivated by a misogynist's rants is ludicrous. I don't like Tate but he had nothing to do with this. The media hate Tate. It's become an obsession. Clifford could have watched a horror movie the night before or an episode of Gardener's World. He'd already decided he was going to kill.

When I listen to Andrew Tate you can't help but laugh at him.

I doubt many of these young lads take Tate seriously, if they do then where are the boy's fathers? Lads need to grow up with male strong role models in the household, not the mum's bit on the side or some creepy neighbour.

When Tate said he boosts testosterone by having threesomes and smoking cigars cracked me up. Smoking can lower testosterone. Many female teachers are having sex with their underage students which does not help.

Why aren't male teachers teaching PSHE? Charlotte Carson seems like another bra-burning feminist in the classroom.

I liked one teacher at school who took the class out to the sports field or the park at lesson time, even in the rain. He always said, "You learn more in the real world than in the classroom". How right he was.

So what motivated Jack the Ripper, Jo? Or Peter Sutcliffe? Clifford was disturbed and possibly psychotic. Take Tate out of the equation he would still be disturbed and psychotic. I also feel that young men are perhaps being ignored in a modern day culture that often emboldens young women encouraging strength and independence from the days of old. All for it. But many young men are killing themselves. Another topic entirely. Of course. Clifford is mad.

Tate is important only as a symptom of a sick society. He can and will be replaced. He in himself is unimportant and unsuccessful; a conclusion I think he would probably disagree with.

Yes there have always been men who feel inadequate with regards to women and at the worst extreme kill them.

But perhaps this becomes just a little more likely in a sick society.

The fact that Tate wasn't around at the time of Jack the Ripper or Peter Sutcliffe doesn't mean he couldn't have influenced Clifford. But you could be right and it could be a concidence that Clifford liked watching a misogynist but was purely self-motivated to rape and kill women.

I don't agree with calling people "psychotic" whenever a heinous crime is committed, without knowing for sure they have psychosis. People with psychosis are apparently more likely to harm themselves.

People with an antisocial personality can sometimes pose a threat to others because they can be violent. Most people with psychosis are more likely to harm themselves than others.

I remember when a young lad was murdered because the media and police said he was playing Manhunt and Bully. The lad was going to kill anyway, it's nothing to do with video games.

I am old enough to remember the queues for Mortal Kombat in the arcades, it was supposed to be violent then but it was no more than silly cartoon violence.

Indeed. When a Clockwork Orange was released there were worries that young men would be influenced by the violence. Despite the film being about the State controlling people's minds, it was the scenes of violence that worried the 'State' more. lol. I think there was later an incident in which a homeless man was beaten to death by two youths who hade just been to see the film. Such were the headlines that Kubrick decided to withdraw the film from general release. and I also remember the two boys who murdered the toddler James Bulger were alleged to have been avid watchers of Video nasties including the film Child's Play. As JK would say--a better story than focusing on their upbringing.
