I really do think normal people are starting to admire people who buck the system.

Because the system is now broken and in many ways stinks.

Well anyone who thinks he's a hero is a numbskull.A lone futures trader deliberately goes against the market sustaining huge losses which may have resulted in tiggering a series of financial meltdowns. The Federal Reserve claim it had nothing to do with their decision cut their rate but the jittery state of the two main financial markets- New York and London , has now spread right through Europe.
The level of debt in the West now looks unsustainable. Businesses will fold , the housing market will severely cool off and the impact on the High Street will be castrophic. So mass unemployment will soar and a proper recession will now follow. He may not be the sole contributor here -there are a number of factors all well documented recently , but please don't call him a hero.

Yet somehow you cannot help but feel, Walter, by being able to do it he has shown up the ghastly flaws in many of our systems.

I do actually believe these systems are failing, one after the other, and need immediate addressing.

It goes hand in hand with my opinion that Universal, doing best with the old model in music, is actually in the worst place, because it feels the new model is less urgently needed.
