Eurovision - still dont have a clue! 18 Years, 7 Months ago
Hi all - ive watched the preview DVD of all songs about 8 times and i still cant call it! Way too open for my liking. Think Daz is in with a massive chance, if the girls can pull off the vocal we could win. Bosnia and Finland look excellent each way value.

Cant remember a contest where so many songs have a chance of winning, Greece could do the double but at 2/1 not an attractive bet. Maybe Mr King has something with his 66/1 on Russia. Im told from an inside contact that it will be the Russian guy with 5 ballerinas on stage in Athens, could be a good stage show.

What are your opinions?? Have you seen them all? I'd be interested to hear the general thoughts.

You don't mention Romania Glen 18 Years, 7 Months ago
From the video and the sound it could not only win but be a big Euro hit in my opinion.
I still think Russia stands a very good chance, depending on whether it gets through the Semi and then the position in the running order of the Final (if it's near the end it could walk it).
By the way, your kind Video DVD has been passed onto Daz and Joe who were very greatful!

I have to say Romania is far and away the most immediate though I love Russia's entry 18 Years, 7 Months ago
Tornero; I reckon it's a hit whatever.

For those who can't get Windows, try this for audio...

Yes, i am beginning to see Romania as a threat now and agree it can be a big hit. I was in Bucharest over Easter weekend and surprisingly a lot of people there in the business don't seem to rate it.

What depressing weather again today, cant wait to get to Athens next weekend!

Great that you passed on the DVD to Daz!!!

Still can't see anything beating Germany 18 Years, 7 Months ago
Why all this fuss about Greece ? She's "mutton dressed as lamb", doesn't look good at all on stage without camera tricks and the song is an average ballad sounded rather like Roy Orbison's "Love hurts". Yes if only Cyprus and Albania were voting then Greece will win.

Sweden is hyped as well. It's an excuse of a song just with a proven euro singer who can shout loud notes !

Russia isn't instant enough for those who only hear it once but with a good song or an established artist, they tend to get huge ex-eastern bloc support on the night, so it's possible.

The semi final songs do have a great advantage as each year's final results show.

For an outside bet try FYROM (Macedonia to you and me) and who knows what Finland will do

Interesting cynical stat from me here (me cynical? never!). Armenia vote for the first time this year. Knowing the history of the 2 countries and the utter hatred still held by a large percentage of the Armenians, I'm still prepared to bet their 12 will go to Turkey.

A Belarussian friend told me that when they vote on the night, whichever numbers they press, the recorded message just says "Thank you for voting for Russia"
