Let It All Hang Out 17 Years, 11 Months ago

I recently got hold of some of the few existing Top Of The Pop's of the late 60's/early 70's, including a tremendous show from 29th January 1970, Jimmy Savile introducing a wide variety of acts (Blodwyn Pig!, Rare Bird, Jethro Tull, Shocking Blue, Tony Burrows in both Edison Lighthouse and the original Fifth Dimension-esque Brotherhood Of Man...and JK with a rather fetching hat and beard doing a pretty cool performance of a groovy number "Let It All Hang Out"
I was personally suprised how "happening" the show is, great camera work (shame it's black & white) and even Savile seemed to know what he was on about (apparantly him and Tony Blackburn presented nearly all the 1970/71 shows, other dj's like Noel Edmonds & Ed Stewart being brought in for 1972).
What a crying shame most of the 1970-1975 shows were wiped, and nearly all the 60's shows went out live and were never recorded!
