Yes, It was a documentary about the the making of the "Is this the way (to amarillo)" video by Peter Kay and Tony Christie from 3 years ago. The unfunny Patrick Macguinness said "Maybe we could get Johnathon King out of prison to appear on the video" Ha Ha Ha!!!!

I think JK would had told them where to put that idea!

Paddy McGuinness. What a talent he is. Equally as funny as Peter Kay himself... and I find Kay distinctly and notably unfunny.

The "Amarillo" thing was when I developed a loathing for Mr Kay. I recall him appearing on Jonathan Woss' radio show and Kay gushing that HIS record was still number one. Egotistical prat - he didn't even sing or anything on that record and whilst the self congratulatory video I guess did help to sell it again, the record contained not one scrap of Kay's work.

The best things about the Amarillo video were appearances by the wonderful Jimmy Saville and Shakin Stevens.

Paddy MacGuinness is to Peter Kay, what Johnathon Wilkes is to Robbie Williams (i.e. a hanger on with very little talent).

Also the title of this documentary, "Raider of the pop Charts" was the title of a compilation lp from the 80's. So Kay has even stolen the pun from someone else.

The morally dubious Jimmy Saville? Far from wonderful. A more odious person you couldn't find.

Oh dear - I love Jimmy Savile and find Peter Kay hilarious (if sometimes derivative). And I thought his video for Amarillo was magnificent (especially, yes you've guessed it, Ronnie Corbett).

Lucky this Forum is for conflicting views!

I think Jimmy's unique sense of humour beats a few people. He likes to play head games but I think he's cool, and he does a great deal for charity without overly shouting about it. Many could learn from him.

there wasn't any scandal about Jimmy was there ?

I met him only once-promoting a record for Diana Dors.

This was like heaven..working for my heroine and then being swept into the BBC to meet another hero.. Jimmy Saville !..the mention of Diana's name and doors flung open.

Shame the reocrd was so bad and a big flop !

Well SW, I once went round Stoke Mandeville hospital with Jimmy as his guest and that was an experience watching the adoration of the crippled motor cyclists as he greeted them. I will always remain a supporter.

Don't let the media hear you say that JK, it'll give them another story.
