don't you love it when two sides will not give up and give everything they have got?
If England play one game as well as either of these sides (or as good as Gutsy Ghana - all our secret favourites) we can be proud of them, win or lose.

Incredible match - one of the best I've ever seen !!
It's just a pity that someone had to lose.
The question is can England summon up enough strength,
ability and belief to put in a performance equal to either of those teams tonight ?
Now we all believe in miracles, don't we ?!!!

Nah ! We've been here before (many times) - it'll all fizzle out to nothing, as long as they look as if they made an effort and got this far then their sponsorships and endorsements will continue - and thats what really matters to them.

Yes .... unfortunately Mexico lost their way a bit in extra time. They were always outnumbered in the Argentine area but never pushed enough players forward to make a difference. Keeping defenders back to defend is normally a good thing, but when seconds are ticking away, and it's score or go home, you have to push everyone forward and just go for it.

Overall, though, one of the best games of the competition.
