and Argentina have the knowledge that they had the best goal by far in the World Cup. And the best game so far (vs Mexico).

Argentina... 17 Years, 9 Months ago
So glad that Germany beat Argentina!
A real bunch of cheating, diving and disgraceful players!
Their attitude at the end was disgusting!

Diving - they are all as bad as each other... 17 Years, 9 Months ago
Ballack did it a few times; Thierry was appalling the other day; I think soccer chiefs should examine video AFTER matches and fine or suspend offenders.

Germany v Argentina .... promised a lot but turned out to be scrappy and disappointing. 17 Years, 9 Months ago
Clinical penalties from Germany, as usual. Argentina let themselves down. I'm surprised Saviola wasn't in the starting line up.

Argentina's exit possible opens an easier pathway for Brasil to take the trophy, but anything can happen.

I'd like to see Ukraine win it, just because nobody believes they can.

I have to say i was hugely disappointed with Argentina yesterday and especially by Pekerman's tactics after they took the lead. So negative. And we were deprived of seeing Messi and Saviola in such an important game. Ludicrous.

Hoping and praying that England win today. We will have to watch out for the diving and cheating with the Portuguese, just hope we get a no nonsense referee who will stamp on that.

As for Wimbledon, a great day of tennis ahead, if Agassi can beat Nadal the draw opens up massively for him. Murray v Roddick interesting too. My tip doing well, Serbian by the name of Novak Djokovic - watch this kid - he will be top 5 in the world before long. If Ancic comes through they meet 4th round. Classic in prospect

Ah Glen we have a battle coming up; I'm a Mario Ancic fan... 17 Years, 9 Months ago
And would like him (or Agassi) to win the lot!
So today I'm rooting for Agassi, Murray (though I can't stand him but he IS British) and Ancic.
By the way, when Roddick was 17 I told Simon Cowell to sign him and turn him into a singing heart throb!
As for football; England of course and France (of course).
But isn't a German/England final a hugely exciting prospect?
