A mildly annoyed food post. 17 Years, 9 Months ago
I used to go to a restuarant in Soho, that made it`s reputation on bad service. We used to go there to laugh at the abuse and it was fun.
However, this one for me has taken the proverbial biscuit.
An extra guest arrived for lunch yesterday, and as it was so hot, I didn`t really want to be in the kitchen, and so I suggested we went to our regular "all you can eat

My meal last night... 17 Years, 9 Months ago
M&S are doing fantastic rump steak matured and marinated... I grilled two of them with some fried tomatoes and a really fresh artichoke from my Mum's garden - absolutely delicious, nutricious and Mart's already been on begging for an arti... must admit, I've not seen ANY in the shops so far this year but I adore them (with melted butter as last night or even cold vinaigrette).

We are pub hunting at the mo, and decided to go and look at this pub, near to a pub that is being offered to us.

On arrival the conversation went like this..

Bar Lady........Good afternoon, Are you eating with us today?

ME No thank you, but may l look at the menu?

Bar Lady yes l will get you a menu, let me know if you change your mind.

(The manager then appears),The soup of the day is Tomato and Basil, are you dining with us today?

ME, No l have just asked to look at the menu for next time.

An Other Bar Lady brings three menu's, and says would l like to order......
Me No thanks we are just looking.

5 Mins Later the manger appears, and gets his order pad ready,....Ahhhh so you are dining with us then
what can l get you... No l am just browsing.

Talk about feeling embarrassed, this was just sheer over kill, l would never go in there again.

I have an amusing example of the same... 17 Years, 9 Months ago
A very well known football hero retired to run a pub down here, and spent his lunchtimes reading every pub menu in the area.
I was invited to the opening of his pub for lunch, which I was quite looking forward to, having seen him about so much, and he was indeed one of my all time heroes.
Imagine my surprise(!), when I sat down to fish fingers and spaghetti hoops!
Still, at least he did not buy it from a motorway dwelling delivery van!
