Completely non-political Window Cleaner post.. 17 Years, 8 Months ago
Today , I have mostly been involved in cleaning.
There is only reason for this, I hired a window cleaner. These are quite hard beasties to find around here, and so I was pleased that he got on with the job.
He merrily dragged a muddy hose in and out of the office, as he happily sprayed away and squeegeed.
I slightly begrudgingly cleared the mud up, as he returned to the front of the office, pulling the dogs morning porridge through the office with his filthy hose wrapped around the bowl.
Much to my relief, he finished the front windows, and I duly paid him.
Imagine my surprise, when a neighbour appeared half an hour later with Flintoff the office terrier that he had let out the back door.
He`s back in four weeks, I think I shall be out next time.

Don't you just love 'em. We came home to find a plumber had emptied the contents of the airing cupboard into the bathroom, broke two shelves, put mud up all of the stairs and chucked stuff from the loft onto the landing floor!

Actually, he had this great self-perpetuating job as he came into fix the leaky overflow then had to be called a few weeks later to fix the problem of no water. On fixing that the overflow started leaking again and on fixing that the water stopped again. Turned out the stop-cock valve was broken in the tank, hence the leak so he switched it off, hence the lack of water when it ran out, then the leak as he switched it back on and so on. Of course, replacing the valve was out of the question as he was getting loads of work out of it!
