Is it just me? I can't tell why one dive is less good than another. The only clue is the size of the splash; otherwise his dreadful dives look as good as his best ones. Actually just starting to understand (as I watch the two Chinese) - their entry into the water is perfectly straight meaning virtually no splash; like a hot knife into butter. Great diving contest; the American was stunning but Tom Daley was terrific getting bronze - but he was in the lead after 5 rounds and could not have dived better.
