TOPIC: Tom Daley

Is it just me? I can't tell why one dive is less good than another. The only clue is the size of the splash; otherwise his dreadful dives look as good as his best ones. Very hard to judge (I can't dive at all but I'd beat him on slow breast stroke!).

I've issues with TD. He seems to be the Anna Kournikova of diving. Media fodder lacking in talent. But oooh isn't he just lovely?!

Actually just starting to understand (as I watch the two Chinese) - their entry into the water is perfectly straight meaning virtually no splash; like a hot knife into butter.

As for cuteness; that Mexican Navarro is gorgeous.

Terrific qualifying round in SEMIs but not a hope of beating those two incredible Chinese; best we can hope for is Bronze.

By the way, can anyone answer why Sanchez (Mexico) is called German? And isn't Navarro (Mexico) cute too?

No idea how they judge them...they all look fab to me as do gymanists.

Looking forward to the closing show with The Who. I bet it's sensational.

Poor ITK doesn't know what he's missing.

Great diving contest; the American was stunning but Tom Daley was terrific getting bronze - but he was in the lead after 5 rounds and could not have dived better. Incredible contest (and Navarro the Mexican was marvellous too).
