Shame but with the exception of the happy athletes, we all felt this was an extravagent, ill directed mess. Wonderful Emily Sande sounded like she had dyspepsia, mics and sound system were naff, Ray Davies should never have been allowed to sing without tracks and was that George's new single? Surely not. Only musical highlight was Kate Bush with dancers. Gave up after pouty fashion models and Annie Lennox surrounded by bats. Hope it improved.

The sound on Madness was dreadful, Liam Gallagher sounded like he was singing through his nose and his bike stand was 6ins too short. On the whole I enjoyed it. The spice girls looked and sounded great and the lighting and the pyrotechnics were spectacular.

but it hasn't improved.

I think George Michael singing his new release is actually an insult (bad song and performance)

but the sound is pretty bad. Dancers are all wonderful..great light shows..but it's just messy.
