puzzling me that no one has yet responded-Pete
Well, I can only speak for myself; off the cuff comments I can do at the shake of that cuff, serious shit takes longer. I still can't think of anything worth saying, anything 'adequate', so all I'll say is that Chris' account saddened me, sickened me and made me angry, however the one thing it didn't do was shock me. Probably because I have been around Anna Raccoon's blog and herself too long. I've heard too many similar things, one becomes desensitised I suppose....and that troubles me.
@Chris, Robert died in your arms- I'd mark that up under 'died a good death'.

“It must be remembered that the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was intended to prevent government agents from searching an individual’s person or property without a warrant and probable cause (evidence that some kind of criminal activity was afoot). While the literal purpose of the amendment is to protect our property and our bodies from unwarranted government intrusion, the moral intention behind it is to protect our human dignity.
With every court ruling that allows the government to operate above the rule of law, every piece of legislation that limits our freedoms, and every act of government wrongdoing that goes unpunished, we’re slowly being conditioned to a society in which we have little real control over our lives. Government surveillance, police abuse, SWAT team raids, economic instability, asset forfeiture schemes, pork barrel legislation, militarized police, drones, endless wars, private prisons, involuntary detentions, biometrics databases, free speech zones, etc.: these are mile markers on the road to a fascist state where citizens are treated like cattle, to be branded and eventually led to the slaughterhouse.” The Raping of America: Mile Markers on the Road to Fascism.
I am not at all surprised to hear of Christopher and Robert’s experience at the hands of Dorset police, specifically: vindictive delays and blatant discrimination - they have form in my experience. Until police cease to be servants of power and instead become accountable to society, and until there exists robust and enforceable human rights designed to protect you and me from discrimination plus lawyers with sufficient guts to defend our human rights, we will continue to languish in a vicious totalitarian state.

My sympathies on the death of a loved one. However, details about what actually happened here are a bit thin.
Christopher & Robert wrote:

What were these allegations, who made them and how were they proved to be both false and malicious?
The penny dropped just yesterday that Mark Williams-Thomas connection to the PCC who also sent malicious communications about us early into the investigation to our LibDem campaign manager Mr. Phillip Dunn.
What malicious communications did he send?Have you actually seen the content or does the phrase "the penny dropped" indicate that you've surmised the existence and content of the messages?
Our entire lives, careers and reputations have been totally destroyed by this INTERNATIONAL SUPER TROLL GANG all connected to Mark Williams-Thomas !
Only if you let them. The criminal stuff has come to nothing: others don't have such luck. Anyway, it pales in comparison to bereavement, which might of course not have been caused or exacerbated by the criminal matters at all. Why not take a leaf out of Harvey Proctor's or Jonathan King's book and strike back? You say you've been falsely accused and proveably so. Post your proof on a website, a Facebook page, letters to the newspaper, edits to the relevant Wikipedia pages. Name names.

Man who exposed paedophile Jimmy Savile says data shows Madeleine McCann ‘dead in 72 hours’
He has apparently been speaking on a podcast and at a conference hosted by the FBI.
He didn't expose Savile. There were rumours when he was alive and the nurses, I spoke who worked at Stoke Mandeville said he liked prolonged hugs and a little handsy but never fully grope them. Savile was also questioned by police but was let go.
Maybe he was protected by the establishment and did things with children etc, but we will never the true story.
You got my truth, your truth and the actual truth.

MWT is apparently doing another documentary about the Jeremy Bamber case.

Is Jeremy Bamber innocent? New White House Farm documentary
...Mark Williams-Thomas, a retired detective best known for exposing Jimmy Savile as a paedophile in ITV’s The Other Side of Jimmy Savile, believes the case could be one of the biggest miscarriages of justice in the UK....
A couple of people in the Twitter thread have posted the David Rose article about MWT ( How a self-promoting TV detective, obsessed with celebrity sex abusers, helped police ruin the lives of Sir Cliff and a string of other famous faces... who all turned out to be TOTALLY INNOCENT), one (@InnocenceFraud) saying this:
It's a shoddy excuse for journalism when you fill copy with self promotional garbage. Newsquest made many very talented journalists redundant and now they promote this.. which when all said and done is a tool to create page impressions to sell advertising
MWT appears to be a Bamber groupie. Perhaps he's still corresponding with him and getting Christmas cards (he couldn't have blasted his family away if he sends MWT Christmas cards, could he?).
From MWT's writings:
...I first started writing to Jeremy back in early February 2012 because the case not only always fascinated me, but because I wanted to find out more about some aspects of it that did not sit comfortably with me. As a result of my contact with him and his solicitor I decided to make a programme later that year, which focused specifically on the issues of the moderator and the burn marks on the back of Neville Bamber, Jeremy's dad. The programme rated very well, watched by over 3.4 million with 17% share. Since then I have been writing to Jeremy every 4 or 5 months, and he always sends me a Christmas card....
www.scribd.com/document/459368124/Mark-W...r-Innocent-or-Guilty
I think this is another pitch for ratings and adulation from groupies (of MWT and Bamber) by yet again ghoulishly and pointlessly poking around in a case that has been solved and pouring salt in a family's wounds.
