Re:Mick Ronson - Died 23 Years Ago today 7 Years, 12 Months ago
Goodness me, it seems only months ago that Alan Freeman (all gone) and I were having dinner in a restaurant and Mick and David (all gone) were eating at another table and Bowie introduced us to Ronson and said "we're going to be big". At the time only JK had championed him (with Can't Help Thinking About Me on Pye in my Disc and Music Echo column). "Who on earth was that?" asked Fluff, and I told him. Ah well. I'm still here. All the Young Dudes have gone.

We've lost Bowie & Ronson, and Dale Griffin (Mott Drummer) also died in January). Fortunately Ian Hunter is still going strong and performing regularly at the age of 76. ianhunter.com/

It's good to see Ian Hunter will be coming across to do some more UK gigs in November - I'll definitely get a ticket for one of those. Some performers never seem to tire of playing, even at an age when most people would be long retired. When did you last perform live JK?
