I wish Andy Scott would stop trying to be blonde and grow up gracefully like other stars of his generation - but The Sweet were a great part of my boyhood. I was 12 when Blockbuster was released. I still have my well worn, much loved, slightly scribbled on 45. It was always more than just a record.

I wore mine out. I was thirteen. for some reason we all wore full length evening dresses to go and fling ourselves around to Sweet and Slade at the disco.
And slow dances were performed with our hands on the boy's shoulders.

I think it's just his blonde hair, which he didn't used to have. Maybe he secretly wanted to be Brian Connolly. Or maybe I'm just jealous (unless it's a wig).
