Hi
My '04 remix of David Brents classic got a great reaction on here, I've since updated & cleaned it up, extended it, added the missing extra verse and generally made it 30% better.

Anyone wishing to listen should click track 4 at

Cheers Tipsters!

Do you want me to see if David would allow it to be released through Tipsheet Trax?

I'm sure David Brent the character would be well pleased that someone had picked up on his old tunes and remixed 'em with "samples & sh!t", but I'm not convinced Mr Gervais would be so keen to go back to Brent related material.

David would love to be on Top Of The Pops, Ricky... I cant see it.

But yeah, I'd be ecstatic!

Nathan,

Vocal sounds better now, but still a bit muffled. It sounds a bit like you recorded it with a mic out of the TV speaker. I would have thought you could have ripped it from DVD.

Some of the samples are a bit jumpy/clicky where you've cut & paste, particularly obvious around the 2 min mark where you do the breakdown.

I would have finished it at the 3min 10/13 sec mark (where you did last time?). Novelty songs are better short IMHO.

Other than that, nice one! If it were going to be released you'd have to clean it up a bit more.

Kev.

Cheers for the feedback Kev. Yeah if it was being released Id have to re do it using better technology than an old copy of Acid on the PC. The tempo of Mr Gervais original track (I did sample from the dvd) drifts a few times per line, between 125 and 145 bpm so you can imagine the amount of cutting, pasting & stretching, which has reduced the quality of the vox.
And yeah it did finish earlier on the old mix, but this was the 12" mix
