Eight Days a Week 7 Years, 7 Months ago
Ron Howard's movie about The Beatles' touring years. Cinema release on Thursday - really looking forward to this. I assumed, given that all four of my local cinemas are showing the movie at exactly the same time and day, that there'd be loads of free seats, but luckily I checked yesterday and three cinemas were sold out and the other one just had a few seats left, so I just managed to get a couple.

I saw it yesterday at my local cinema. The film was being streamed live across hundreds of cinemas. It really was a great experience. Ron Howard re-told the story well, and particularly got across the humour the guys had. And, to be honest, I'd forgotten just how big the band were in the USA. So huge - and the first at being so huge!!

Check out the thread on Your Views Dixie - yes people see One Direction who weren't even as big as The Monkees or The BCRs - let alone Beatles. Times have changed; the music appealed across the board. Grandfathers were fans.
