Oh yes; she now eats her words, turns away from the microphone, mumbles, is incomprehensible as well as speaking rubbish when you can hear it. Why do BBC bosses keep letting her on air? Easy. Political correctness. Someone (probably spineless Lord Hall Hall) has decided "we need more women on air". It doesn't matter if they are any good. Expect men to be forced to get pregnant and give birth to children any day now. It is politically correct.

Maybe she is still recovering after her 24 hour danceathon?

Yes good for her; career advice; stick to dancing; it doesn't involve speaking.

Her bosses seem to be dazzled by that ridiculous 'accent' of hers, as if they think they're promoting some exotic part of England. They should remember that Northern accents - real ones, not her ludicrous ragbag of affected sounds - broke through into broadcasting rather effectively back in the Sixties.

I like her on sounds of the 80s (on the red button), she has got a face for television, an ex-model. I find her funny, informative, and down to earth. I must admit that I don't listen to her on radio 2, she is my generation

She used to be a model??? Bizarre. She's got a face for television in the same sense that the Milky Bar Kid had a face for television, but she's no beauty.
