I have unsealed the Johnny Cash Christmas compilation I have had for a long time and played it in full. Apart from a few songs it should have remained sealed.
I love the Moody Blues (which prog fan does not?) I have asked my partner to stream their last album December out of interest. It's quite pricy and not many online stockists have it. I remember December Song getting airplay in the early 2000s. It should have been a concept album about Winter.
Despite pleasant melodies, and excellent artwork the album is very lazy. I do like this song from the album.
Christmas albums are just more evidence that Christmas is the time for more consumerism.
The Wondertones & Friends - Sing-a-long Happy Christmas
This is my favourite Christmas album. I got it on tape in 1980 aged 11, still have the tape but have digitised it now. This is based purely on sentimentality and memories it rekindles each year however. I used to love playing this in front of the Christmas tree to myself all December. I just wish I could find somewhere to properly download the album nice and crystal clear. The Santa on the cover is also the spitting image of my primary school headmaster at the time, who only passed away this year at 100!
Not the answer you probably expected GM. Of course there are better more credible classy Christmas albums, but childhood memories at Christmas are powerful. If anyone knows anywhere I can download this album I'd love to know where.
If you have digitised you might be able to run it through some downloadable remaster software on Windows.
Yes I've seen this site before GM but what put me off was the conditions attached and the need to place sensitive information into it like a credit/debit card. No way am I doing that on a site I know little about and when I've no intention of paying for anything from it. Better be safe than sorry even if it'something I'm interested in. Thanks for trying to help out though, appreciated.
