To mark what would have been Elvis Presley's 90th birthday next week on 8th January Radio 2 gave listeners 90 of his hit records to vote on for the ultimate Elvis. This was interesting as it was not obvious what the choices might look like. Broadcast on New Years Day.

Very interesting that the top three ultimate Elvis songs all came out of 1969, my birth year. I was very surprised to see If I Can Dream get as high as No3 on the listing. Another four in the top ten out of just 1972, No's 9, 8, 7 and 4. The rest of the Top 40 are in the link.

I think I'd have placed these 4 in my Top 5 as well
TBH I don't know what order I would have applied as I love them all and I'm sure the order would change every day if asked. For it's opening verse alone Can't Help Falling in Love deserves the Top Spot

Although it would never make any Top 10 list "Wooden Heart" was the first single I ever bought and I still love it very much
