Apart from a bands own website potentially an unsigned band could rack up numerous profiles on numerous 'free' music sites trying to promote themselves and it can be time consuming maintaining them all. There must be a top ten that we should be focussing on? Here's six I think are worth having a profile on:

If anyone has a UK only applicable list or a European list or suggestions for them will they please submit it.

I expect the main criteria should be the amout of exposure you can achieve by having a profile on a site and building a fanbase rather than a smaller site with a high demographic of industry types logging on.
