BAFTAs - JK predictions 6 Years, 2 Months ago
Three Billboards; Frances and Timothee - Death of Stalin something please; still have to see Lady Bird - Lesley Manville Best Supporting Actress - terrific year for films (just as 2017 was a bad Booker Book year).

Delighted that Three Billboards did so well; would have liked Death of Stalin to win something; Call Me By Your Name deserved more and Timothy should have won Best Actor; I would have like Lesley Manville to win her category too. Ridley Scott sent me into a coma.

I had to turn over after about five hours of his speech.

'Times Up' should of been in Rotherham years ago and then made a trip to Germany.

Oprah was very good friends with Weinstein for many years, surely she must of known what he was up to.

I'm glad that I don't give a penny to Hollyweird now; and they films they dish out don't appeal to me either.

I suppose I could binge on the hundreds of public domain 'classics'.

Yes Andrew - pay no attention to TimesUp or MeToo or any of the other silly media stories - they will fade away, as they should. Like Dean Swift's Gulliver finding a war was over whether you should crack your boiled eggs at the sharp end or the blunt end, this silly hysteria will disappear like anal gas. We all know discrimination is wrong. Abuse is wrong. Paying different individuals for different jobs is inevitable. You can expect crusades about why blue eyed actors get more jobs than brown eyed actors and, yes, soon you'll see wars over boiled eggs. Do read Gulliver's Travels (the entire four chapters). Swift was, of course, Irish. He'd love the hysteria over the Irish language.

Funnily enough JK, a very nice Irish lady County Tipperary was saying the same thing in the pub about Gulliver's Travels.

Late Robert Ginty, was blonde haired and blue eyed and is only really remembered for Exterminator and Exterminator 2. If he was in his prime today, I wonder what roles he would have ?
