I think it rather you that has some silly ideas, JK
The posters on here frequently rant on about "false accusations" etc and always question when someone is convicted (the Jury MUST have got it wrong !) but never ever, EVER do they question when someone is acquitted !
Are Juries always right when they release someone... and always wrong when they convict ?
Here's a classic example - www.kingofhits.co.uk/component/option,co...w/catid,2/id,175221/

Most ? Don't you mean a few silly little people who want to watch a silly game of football, while we put our hands up and surrender to aliens attacking us on our soil?
I do note you have accepted that I will be proved right eventually !

Your example makes no sense.
Mr King actually states that he wont take sides, and my point is that when some lie, nobody is believed which puts verdicts in doubt.
It goes without saying that it goes both ways, so I didnt bother saying it!

Yes, now looks even more likely that a ban will be the obvious extension of action now that Russia has escalated action again, especially as (as In The Know said) the weapons inspectors will report within the next 10 days or so.

Why won't the Tories pull out of the World Cup then?
If they feel so badly about Salisbury - it seems a rational decision to make.
Just like Wilson/Labour in the 60s couldn't put up with the treatment of the great Basil D'Oliverra (Dolly). Mentioned in your link.
Apartheid was dealt a mortal blow then - one boycott that worked...

Sounds lovely, doesn't it?
Can we send them MORE fans ?
It is more likely that England fans will be beaten to death by Russia fans, Russian police, or Russian secret police, be wrongfully arrested, illegally detained, or otherwise subject of international diplomatic incident than it is that England will crash out of the quarter-finals on penalties.
Not only are they inclined to do that anyway, but the Russian state media is currently telling them England is their main enemy.

Yes, its quite illogical that we are on "war" state and yet we play football with them.
But, as In The Know has said previously, you can see the case for a boycott "building up"
Proably lost of work behind the scenes, so just like the diplomatic expulsions, their is a domino effect (which very few expected to happen)

OPCW will now - in The Haig - consider the nerve gas evidence put forward by the UK.
Evidence original described as categorical - is now, only called plausible.
It is not whithin the weapons watchdog's brief to ascribe the agent's orign.
The World Cup will be over by the time this drawn out affair is concluded.
But three things are clear:-
- the world at large is apathetic
- the UK was too quick to make accusations
- boycotts are not being considered by any world cup finalists, including England - the aggrieved party...
