Oh I thought Israel worked really well; better than the semi and I reckon it stands a good chance.

My heart goes with Ireland - socially everybody needs to vote for it; morally it's the winner and will hopefully be a big hit in China, Iran, Uganda and other places.

Yes. That one...

Bit too similar for me. I think Cyprus have got it.

Rasmussen was awsome.

AWS were pretty cool.

I wonder if Rammstein will represent Germamy next year ?

I really should start putting bets on. My first instinct won again!

On the night the Israeli girl deservedly won; great performance to a catchy little song. I liked Austria a lot too though.

Not a hit in sight this year, to be honest, which always makes it difficult to predict. I rather liked Poland which didn't even make the final. Of those left I quite fancy Ireland and Australia; Israel is still the obvious but really not a song. And highly irritating; slightly sinister. Cyprus doesn't do it for me at all. UK will be lucky to get into the teens I reckon; more likely twenty something.

Face facts there hasn't been a hit in sight for over 20 years, that said I'm glad that Isreal won with Netta, such a lovely girl.

Don't agree Robbie - Loreen's Euphoria is fabulous.

Lena's "Satellite" for Germany was a big hit too.

Sadly, my choice, Belarus, didn't make the final.

I did remember that the show was on, but I didn't think any of the songs were worth voting for.

I enjoy it even if the songs are rubbish. Especially if the songs are rubbish, actually.

Definitely enjoyable but the UK is and has been an embarrassment for some time. They just don’t learn. Next thing we’ll be hearing ad nauseum (but nothing to do with music or songwriting) will be that England won the World Cup in 1966.

I remember my mother telling me, way back, that the 'jury' did not see the singers because they had to judge the song, not the singer/s. Not sure how true that was.
So different now, where a song can be eclipsed by stage performers.

As opposed to Meghan or Tessa on the other board (loads of views - no posts) this thread has inspired 40 posts so far!

Because Eurovision reflects a different and discernible real truth. Also a common bond exists within this topic.

I’m still seething about the UK song entry. Will next year bring yet another nonentity?
