TOPIC: Day 60 and dear George Harrison.

Apparently Day 60 is far and away the Most Viewed diary day so far with 83,000 views. Amazing how social media has taken over from traditional media. When you cover all bases - You Tube, Instagram, Twitter, Vimeo, Facebook and all the rest, the visits pile up. Still, for me, KingOfHits is the main platform. Soon we'll celebrate 25 years online. One of the earliest. Mind you, over the decades the Tipsheet visits have all but disappeared; the Your Views ones have exploded. It's been as my own life has changed from a music base to a False Allegations, movies and books one, I suppose.

I'm not a Beatles fan but I do enjoy listening to all of George solo material.

Name ten solo songs, post All Things Must Past, that you truly - truly - think rate as classics. I love 33 and 1/3 and the George Harrison LP, those two albums are fantastic IMHO, but I'd still hesitate before nominating that many tracks. The Jeff Lynn effort came, as usual, with his thump-thump-thump production that makes my ears bleed.[/quote]

33 1/3 and Cloud 9 are my favourite albums of by George. I can't give you ten songs because it's my opinion.

I never bought singles EVER - only bought albums and still do. My favourite musician is Ted Nugent, however he wasn't on vocals on the well known classics; it's Derek Saint Holmes and Meatloaf.

State Of Shock is a great album by Nugent and has a George Harrison Beatles cover I Want To Tell You. It's worth a listen.

Another favourite band of mine is Alabama, they released 74 singles and I haven't bought one ever. It's the albums that I love and the gigs of course.

I didn't know Geoff Lynn lived in this area, or am I getting him confused with the Hairy Cornflake - DLT!

I also have absolutely no idea who Nicky and Mike are either; the only people I think of with those names are my old friend Tim's sister and dad, who used to live in Coldharbour . ..

Re: PSB plagiarism allegation in your Sun column

According to the PSB, Cat Stevens even offered to mediate in their favour with you over the allegations of plagiarism in their song 'It's A Sin'; in his diary, Tennant records the fact that you settled out of court with them - presumably this was settled by The Sun. There's no mention of the sums involved.

I never said it was "copied" from Wild World - just that it was similar and yes, The Sun did everything needed (Publishers take full responsibility).

I'm sure watching paint dry is more entertaining than talking to DLT.
