More virtue signalling from Starmer. Corbyn says that the situation was exaggerated by opponents, which was probably true, just a few people on the fringes. You can now get sacked for telling the truth. He should stick to his guns and not retract his statement, instead of begging for forgiveness like Starmer.

Yes he has been suspended for having an opinion about the extent of the findings; not for saying anything anti semitic.

He doesn't lead the party anymore either - the man who has suspended him does - so he can't hold back reform.

Starmer does not believe in free speech within the party he leads, evidently.

Free speech is essential to democracy, so Starmer does not believe in this either.

So how can we vote for a Labour MP when we don't know what they really think on any issue?

Fulfilling their role as an independent statutory body, endorsed by the UN, to reduce discrimination.

By monitoring human rights and protecting equality. It's the EHRC's views that are particularly relevant.

Yes the EHRC views are significant and noteworthy.

But this is not the same issue as whether Starmer is virtue signalling, playing politics and curbing free speech. Which he is.

My post had nothing to do with anti semitism in the Labour Party, the merits of the report or the role of the EHRC.
