Prison reform 3 Years, 1 Month ago
The state of our prisons is such that to curb violence and drug addiction the solution is to...drumroll...drug the prisoners.

It has somehow got mixed up with a Monty Python script.

I wonder how the prisoner serving time for growing cannabis will feel when pre-rolled joints appear in the canteen?

Bit miffed I'd have thought; but if he is wise he will see it as a future business opportunity

But on a serious note - how can this PCC not see that his arguments equally apply outside prisons?

Or that the solution to violence and addiction to worse drugs than cannabis, might be better found by improving conditions and rehabilitation options; rather than by the tax-payer funded doping of prisoners through illegal products that cause mental health problems.

What a confused mind he must inhabit. But then PCCs are politicians, not professionals, and no Gov is going to risk the media with this one...

Many guards will accept bribes if the price is right or they know the prisoner's family.

Hash used to be grinded to look like Golden Virginia and mixed in the pouch. What the prison guards and governors now want is a "If you can't beat them join them policy".

My time was boring inside, and just wanted to get out ASAP ! I used to spend my time writing and in the library. (Never let a former teacher do your accounting) I thought I could trust him and paid him to my tax returns properly. But no the opposite happened and he fled the continent.

I always did my books before and still do now, never had an issue until I met him !

Well school is a prison, so technically you're right.
