TOPIC: Trump and McDonalds
#249789
Trump and McDonalds 1 Month, 3 Weeks ago
Brilliant stunt. Trump is way ahead of Harris in media ideas. Like Boris was, compared to Starmer. Throw in mad Elon Musk and you have to say the Trump campaign is way better than the Democratic one. For me it should be Harris but what do I know (I'm only half American)? My suspicion - that Harris should and will outspend Trump on media in the seven swing states - looks damaged by the Musk millions.

I thought it was tacky and showed how out of touch he is when he discovered fries were not touched by hand. Pointless.

I doubt it would swing a single vote and draws attention to Harris' claim she worked at McDonalds once.

it will of course endear him to the MAGA crowd who probably dine at McDonalds a lot but the twitterverse is depicting Donald as the Ronald McDonald's clown.

Did you see the crowd in the streets? No way they were bused to be there. Like Harris who needs to bribe supporters to show up.

Can't be doing with DT. Win and democracy has been saved---lose and democracy is corrupted. That's his mantra. The mantra of an idiot. I wouldn't allow him to run a tuck shop.

He won't be running the country single handed.

Isn't what you've accused Trump of actually just what the Harris campaign are saying?

"He's a f... idiot. He's just a f... idiot", says someone who worked with him. Have watched the first of these and it was interesting. Not just critics speaking. Haven't watched the second part yet.

I'm sorry,.When did Harris say Democracy was broken, went into spoiled brat rant for 6 months and then instigated and supported the Capitol Hill riots and siege? I'm not a Harris fan btw, but I regard Trump as a disgusting egomaniac. If I lose it's not fair. Imagine playing Monopoly with a guy like that?

Serving MacDonald's was a very clever ploy by Trump and his election team. He's not my cuppa but he's not an effing idiot either as a raw politician.

I'll tell you why it's so clever. During our 2019 general election campaign a young friend of mine who never said a nice word about Boris Johnson happened to bump into him on the trail when he visited an area near Derby. He got caught up in the melee surrounding Johnson who spoke to him and from that moment he was singing his praises. Won over in an instant, not based on policy but on personality. The TV pics of Trump will only be a net positive and the reaction of the other side to it proves this, they are getting very agitated.

If Trump is upsetting the establishment and legacy media he is doing something right.

Harris has a McValour, Matt Walsh never fails with his deadpan jokes. I guess people will say they will vote for the guy who has worked at McDonald's.

I am sure the IRS will have records of her time at McDonald's. Now people are sworn to secrecy. The Dems wanted to Trump tax returns and he released them.

I dont know what the fuss is about. People already know what a Trump presidency is, and they also know that if Kamala Harris had any intention of doing the things she promises, she would have already done it in the last four years.
They would be better off electing Kermit The Frog than either of them.

Margaret Thatcher was a brilliant politician (while it lasted) and I met her once briefly..admired how petite she really was and superb flawless white skin but I loathed her before and loathed her after that.

But there would have been some old style Tories that I think I would got along with..maybe Ted Heath. I think Boris might be a crashing bore.

I think it's a fantasy that the Ronald McDonald clown show will swing a single vote. It's the few million swinging voters who elect a president and they will be worrying about the economy which didn't fare well under Trump (mainly because he's lazy) with high unemployment while Wall Street has boomed under Biden.

Remember Trump is saying he'll do away with social security or privatize it and even pensions (it's in Project 25)

Whether he would or not is of course in the air as perhaps some backers with wise words tell him what a disaster for the economy that would be (Walmart would go broke).

I wonder if he's going to come with his brilliant new Health Care system he said 4 years ago that would be released "in 2 weeks".

Trump has gone on the right podcasts if he gets the Joe Rogan gig, the election is over. I don't the phoneyness of Rogan he sold his soul to Spotify and there are dozens and dozens of interviews he has buried.

Trump was president before, so people know what they are getting, the Dems are still plotting how to rig the election again.

Where is Biden FFS?

Trump has got the Rogan gig, despite Rogan saying he would never have Trump. Rogan knows that a Trump interview will be massive and he can some direct questions to the Donald.

I wonder what the psychology is behind the PR machine around VIPs, who are usually fabulously wealthy, that has them doing things that ordinary people do, like working in MacDonalds or pulling pints/serving coffee or ice-cream (I think I've seen footage of William and Kate doing something like that). Do ordinary people really think better of these people, perhaps feel they're more like them, or even humble, because they've lowered themselves to ordinary people's level for a few minutes? It's very strange. It's all so orchestrated. I wonder if politicians and royals before the age of TV/media did this. I also wonder if politicians who were successful before the TV/media age would be dismissed in an instant if they were transplanted into the media age.

In response to Green Man and the IRS (Inland Revenue Service) comment, if Kamala Harris legally worked at McDonalds in the summer of 1983 then there is a record of her doing so, even if it was just for a fortnight. Whether they are allowed to release this data is another matter entirely, or she herslef is even able to ask them to.

This thing about someone being able to recall her from that summer in McDonalds, well I worked a similar kind of job years ago with a group of people I've mostly forgotten. If someone from then turned out to be PM and claimed to have worked the same time as I did with me i'm not sure I would remember them as the younger self.

Good question. Most people seem to have forgotten he is still the American President, and as much as VP Harris is in the news right now, within a fortnight if she loses she will be yesterday's old news and become as invisible as Biden quite quickly. I think the liberal left will absolutely eviscerate her if she is seen to lose to Trump.

McDonalds say there is no record of Harris working for them nor has any co-worker. I would have imagined someone on the socials would come out or there. I am surprised the Dems have not mocked up a memo or an old wage slip to back up their claims.

Curtis Sliwa from the Guardian Angels worked at McDonald's' there is a ton of evidence to prove his claims in documentaries. Even an old staff photo.

Even the late Queen ELizabeth II can prove she once worked at McDonalds.
