Copy of my letter to the PCC after my complaint had been rejected after a farcical adjudication...
28/6/2005.
Dear Stephen Abell,
Thank you for your letter of 27th July and the enclosed PCC decision.
I would be glad if you could forward this to the members of the PCC who rejected my complaint.
1) I would have thought an interview with Nick, the director whose request it was that I was in the park, would have been worthwhile.
He would have confirmed that the position of the deck chair in MY photos was accurate. He would have confirmed that there was no similar background to the News of the World montage in front of the chair. The photo could not be genuine.
2) I would have thought his video footage confirming my position would have been worth seeing. The photo could not be genuine.
3) I would have thought that an interview with Etienne, the deck chair attendant, who saw me throughout the time Nick was NOT present and who would also have confirmed the wrong background in the picture, could have been useful. The photo could not be genuine.
4) I would have thought a visit to the scene of the crime, where all the fixed rubbish bins are clearly on the RIGHT of the benches and not, as in the montage, on the LEFT, would have helped the Commission members ascertain the truth. The photo could not be genuine.
5) I would have thought a professional examination of the series of pictures where the perspective of me in the deck chair fails to alter when the photographer
