As you know, I cost the Mirror group a hefty six figure sum for including one of my copyrights without permission on one of their horrid "free" CDs.
I see the Mirror are giving away THREE CD's at the weekend.
Things to remember... if one of your copyrights IS included without contract (and the majors often do so without checking the small print), you MUST notify the paper (as I did) BEFORE they start, so they are knowingly breaching the law by continuing to distribute it.
It's piracy - no better than flogging a copy down the market.
2) They will claim, as it's free, they don't owe royalties. Bollocks.
You can rightly claim it's the PAPER that's given away free with your valuable copyright.
3) They will claim the maximum fine for piracy is the ludicrous sum of
