hundreds of giant pink roses flowering (God knows how they survive year after year). After the £15,000 paint job, the house looks so spectacular with the white and blue contrasting the pink. Years ago we'd get dozens of Japanese tourists taking photos of the house just because it looked so pretty. There's something wonderful about spring every year. Makes you glad to be alive and counting your blessings.
