I now hear, from top sources, that MPs are well aware of the "similar facts" route - they call it "bundling" - and that is the next target in their sights. So get ready (as with phone hacking) for dozens of corrupt cops getting "done" for conspiracy to pervert the course of justice by assisting witnesses by giving them "evidence" to produce, "details" to quote in statements and other such stuff. If the media coverage hasn't provided enough "evidence", that is! We'll see past "witnesses" (sometimes called "victims") to come forward, with immunity guaranteed, to describe such nasty behaviour. Like giving someone a photo taken from a "perpetrator" in a raid, for example. Sorry about the plethora of inverted commas. HACKING. Who ends up in jail? Not hacks but cops. PERVERTS. Who end up in jail? Not perverts (mostly dead anyway) but cops.
The question is, after inquiries into police behaviour, who will end up inside? |
