Finders Keepers - latest Stephen King
Thursday, 11 June 2015
As usual I'm an early reader of a new Stephen King. In the old days I used to be often seen in restaurants around the world with a KING hardback and one establishment, putting 2 and 2 together, made 5 on seeing my credit card and asked me for Stephen's autograph.

These days it's all on E Book after instant Amazon delivery, so I just finished the Master's latest, which he only finished writing less than a year ago.

Technically it's a sequel to Mr Mercedes - which was brilliant - but you don't need to have read that to enjoy this. Any links are clearly repeated (sometimes, perhaps, more often than necessary).

But, yet again, it's impossible to put down; indeed, my mini iPad (Kindle app) squealed with the need to recharge its battery.

Finders Keepers is part Mercedes, part Misery (a far older King with a similar writer/reader type plot element).

Thoroughly recommended if, like me, you regard King as one of the finest living writers - and that's on a quality basis as well as a commercial one. Surely time he was Booker nominated? This might be the one.
