I love the colour of cooked fresh corn cobs, steamed in their sheaths of leaves and strands, with hot butter.

Chops and steaks with mint sauce and buttered cheese potatoes. And Pear Cider.

Roast grey leg partridge with bacon, bean sprouts in onions with mushrooms, new buttered potatoes, Peroni beer.

So I decide to give a lecture to a bunch of deer and they all went straight to sleep!

A large glass of Pimms with San Pellegrino Limonata, peaches, greengages, plums, pineapple, mint and cucumber. Hic.

Chicken and Onion Singapore Noodles, mashed potatoes, iceberg lettuce salad, Perrier
