... and if we back-down and are seen to be weak, don't you think he might do that anyway?
Don't you think other loonies (in Korea / Iran) might see our weakness and refusal to accept the obvious (because it might be a bit dangerous) as a further opportunity?
The way to deal with tyrants is NOT to run and hide - its to confront them.
If we deal with Assad now - the others will know what to expect if they do something similar (which lessens the liklihood that they would). |

Well it's what anybody with brains would reckon Assad would do, isn't it?

Is the common dnominator here not the fact the area just happens to be another place, where oil comes from?
I'm still contemplating thw situation if Germany had won the 2nd World War...I doubt the Syria stuff, would even be happening. Well, the whole block would be Germany run, would it not? The United States Of Europe/World would be in operation. President Obama/David Cameron...Who the hell would they be? |
