JK2006 Which is OK but doesn't solve the accountability issue; in that case, mainly media blame (as addressed by the late lamented Leveson "Inquiry") but it really is time that individual police officers responsible get exposed for their behaviour.

It is still unanswered why the officer in charge of the Milly Dowler case for several years failed to find Levi Bellfield and allowed him to murder two more innocent girls.
