Rob Reiner directed "Stand by Me". Shawshank Redemption was a Frank Darabont film as was "The Green Mile" and the very underrated "The Mist".
The problem with "It" was that it was ,to anyone that has read the book ,a travesty.
Sad to say there are remakes of "IT" and "Carrie" on its way. Both will be aimed at the PG13 market of course!!

The King interview is all over all the BBC News outlets; for us fans he comes through so well. I absolutely agree with him on Kubrick - cold. King is very warm indeed, one of the reasons I love his books. Under The Dome should be a terrific film (Reiner, please) as should the Kennedy one.

Misery was a better book than film but the film was loyal, Blockade Billy make a good TV movie with Chuck Brodsky doing the soundtrack.
JK as Pennywise who turns in the moon and giant spider why not ?

Misery was good and Christine not bad.

I do hope the interview gets shown in full; indeed, with clips it should be an entire programme.
IT is one of my favourite King novels, Andrew; I really wanted to play Pennywise after I read it. And blow me if my old friend Frank'n'Furter didn't get it! I still earn thousands a year thanks, in part, to Tim (downloads of my original RHS album, which I produced and own).
