Thanks for your thoughts JK. I would certainly think it worth the while of your creative grey matter to do something with the Glenn Miller medley. You really should watch some of my youtube videos of the 'War & Peace Revival 2013' to see what I'm talking about. The event was on for five days running and a lot of people camped on site and took part in all five days. Those that are into it are REALLY into it and they had a Glenn miller tribute band play after hours there one night so his music is still as valid as ever to the devoted.
Maybrick44 on youtube is the channel if you (or anyone else is interested)...

Correct Tony; I think one of the best tracks on the Sound 9418 album was the Glen Miller medley which I didn't recycle as a "Potter" track... I must do something with it.

I am this morning well chuffed because after posting on here the other day to ask whether there was any chance of the Sound 9418 album ever being re-issued on CD I discovered on receiving this that a fair bit of that album is contained here - or at least I suspect it is. I know JK is a huge JK Rowling fan ( how could he not be with initials like that! (lol) and loves the Harry Potter books but dear old Morrissey's golden words about 're-model, re-mix and re-package are leaping to mind!
LOVE the techno version of 'In The Mood' though. That must be a 'new' recording but a lot of the rest of the Cd sounds to me like old JK classics re titled to fit the bill. Mind you, I'm not complaining as I love most of the tracks anyway and at least now have over half of the Sound 9418 album...
Having attended the recent 5 days 'War & Peace Revival' event at Folkestone Racecourse and seen how passionate people are about the 30's and 40's music scene I still think JK is missing a trick in not re-releasing the Sound 9418 album. Retro is clearly BIG NEWS these days and the place was full of people dressed in period clothes and acts doing the rounds singing all of the old hits. Don't think the techno version of 'In The Mood' would put them 'In The Mood' though!
Oh well, scouting around dusty old record shops I will go...
